Intellidemia, a startup managed by Lally MBAs and Rensselaer undergraduates, was selected to present at the prestigious Rice Business Plan Competition and also selected to present at the Carnegie Mellon McGinnis Venture Competition.

Judd Rattner MBA ’09 progressed to the Challenge Round of the 2009 Rice Business Plan Competition (RBPC).   RBPC is the world’s largest intercollegiate business plan competition, awarding over $800,000 in prizes annually.  Of the 340 submissions to the Competition, 42 teams were selected to pitch new technology business plans to more than 200 judges who themselves are successful venture capital investors, entrepreneurs, and business leaders.   

Rattner is CEO of Intellidemia, which was one of the teams selected to present its plan on location in Houston.  The team placed 3rd in their flight within the Challenge Round.  Intellidemia was founded in 2007 by Rensselaer students, and is currently located in Rensselaer’s Incubator Center.  The company develops innovative information tools for education.  Its flagship product is Concourse, an online syllabus solution to organize, share and analyze academic course information.  The Intellidemia management team also includes Edward Levie MBA ’10, Technology Director, and Brian Zaik ’09 Computer Systems & Engineering, who oversees the user intellindemia presentexperience.  Rattner and Zaik also traveled in March to the Carnegie Mellon McGinnis Venture Competition (as one of 25 schools participating) to present Intellidemia plans.Intellidemia logo
